IPUCell - Volunteer Nominations (1st meet)
We guys are collecting the nominations for the volunteers who would be working for the Placement Cell - to be managed, run and handled fully by students & alumni of IP University. The idea is to build a system where information will be shared among all the students of IPU and each student will get a fair chance to sit in the interviews. Our goal is simple "Get a job for everyone".
When: 22nd Aug (Saturday)
Place: Netaji Subash Place (outside CCD)
Time: 11AM to 1PM

We all know how placement cells work. So we will use that same knowledge but work TOGETHER. This placement cell will not be limited to any college/course etc. It will be run by volunteers from various colleges. Discussing things in online forums are ok to start but we need to meet to lay the founding stones of this cell. Thats why we are planning to meet this coming saturday. Please nominate yourself if you want to work for this placement cell.

We will keep the nominations open until we get around 15 people. So please hurry up and fill your nomination.
This is a rough plan that we will discuss in this meet.
1. Make a group of volunteers - They will work with dedicated
2. Assign Roles to these volunteers - Researcher, Conveyor, Tele-Callers, Data Processing, etc etc
3. Build database of companies - Name, Address, Contact person, email, job openings
4. Job Notifications - Search the above database regularly and find out about the openings in the companies.
5. Job requirements - Identify Jobs based on categories, Skill Sets etc
6. Resume - Build a database of resumes, ask students from various colleges to send there resumes or upload them on the site.
7. Interviews - Let students apply to the available jobs (if they are eligible). Then schedule their interviews(if accepted by the company) or whatever company respond to.
8. Fair chance - Everyone will be given fair chance to apply to these jobs or sit in the test/interviews.
