Workshop on "Mobile Architecture and Programming for ARM processors"

Computer Science & Engineering Department, IGIT,
GGS Indraprastha University, Delhi is organizing a
Workshop on “Mobile Architecture and
Programming for ARM processors” on
12th -13th March 2010. Candidates selected for this
program will get a complimentary resource kit. A
registration fee of Rs1000/- will be charged. No TA
and DA will be paid to the candidates attending the
Workshop.

OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE

There is tremendous growth in the field of mobile
and embedded technologies due to the availability of
various software tools and the cheap hardware that
drives these systems. The objective of this
programme is to provide an exposure in the field of
hardware and software architecture of the Mobile
devices and programming. This workshop focuses
on principles of mobile architectures and provides
hands-on experience on development of application
programs for teaching embedded systems and
conducting its lab using Mobile devices based on the
ARM architecture and Symbian software platform.
An attendee in this field gets hands-on practice on
mobile application program development and also
the research directions in the field of mobile
architectures and embedded systems.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Faculty members of engineering colleges who
are teaching/working or intending to teach/work
in the areas of Mobile Architecture, Embedded
Systems and designs and Computer Architecture
would be most benefited by this course.

REGISTRATION

Applications in the prescribed format duly filled
and signed by the Head of the institution must
reach the coordinator on or before 1.3.2010.
However, candidates may send an advance
application through email to the program
coordinator and make their travel plans
accordingly. Selected candidates will be
informed by email/post.

IMPORTANT DATES

Last date for registration: 04-03-2010.
Intimation of acceptance: 05-03-2010

REGISTRATION FEE

The candidates are required to attach a demand
draft of Rs. 1000/- in favour of “Registrar, GGS
Indraprastha University” along with the
application form. The Demand Draft will not be
refunded in case a selected participant does not
attend the programme.
