This MSc in Biodiversity and Conservation provides a cutting edge practical approach to the ecological principles and methodologies that are fundamental to biodiversity management and the conservation of species and habitats. The course is designed to equip students from biological and/or environmental backgrounds with the intellectual and practical skills required in biodiversity management and conservation. The programme allows students to build expertise in and awareness of current issues, and to interface with external speakers from appropriate institutions.

The objective of this course is to make the professional aware of the social, political and economic issues relevant to achieving the above goal. The course would produce biologists who can communicate and address the problems related to conservation projects.

Eligibility

B.Sc. degree or equivalent (Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Anthropology or any field of Life Sciences) with minimum 60% marks.
