It is well known fact that recruiters use social networking site to screen candidates . Most of well known companies check social networking profile of a candidate before giving them final appointment letter . so use your profiles as tools to market yourself, and then publish and share content and discussions that add value to the online conversation.

As per as different survey done by different organizations LinkedIn used by 80% of companies , Facebook used by 55% of companies while Twitter used by 45% of companies recruiting through the social Web.

In this blog i am sharing some "do and Don’ts" for social networking profile like Facebook , orkut , Linkend or G+

Do’s

Profile should be linked to original Primary email ID .
Have a Decent Profile pic .
Have a decent and consistent online presence .
Be careful while someone Tag you on some pic .
careful while uploading any pic .
Have a large and relevant network .
Make a list of few companies you are interested in and follow them on social networks .
Gather more information on the developments in these companies .
Be searchable on search engines .
Add genuine references, credentials and awards to your profile .
Create and upload a video resume highlighting your achievements .

Don’ts

Never Like anti-social thing .
Be careful of what you say on social media .
Never contradict your profile on different networks .
Never fake your profile or references .
Try and be friends with everyone in the companies you wish to join unless you genuinely know them .
